👁️ Eye Donation Fortnight(नेत्रदान पखवाड़ा) | 25th Aug-8th Sep, 2026
Divyadrishti Eye Centre organised a special Eye Donation Awareness Programme on 27th August, with the aim of spreading awareness, breaking myths surrounding eye donation, and celebrating the priceless Gift of Sight.
We were honoured by the presence of our distinguished guests — Former Governor of Sikkim & Meghalaya and President of Dadhichi DehDan Samiti- Sri Ganga Prasad ji ,HOD of RIO,IGIMS – Dr Bibhuti Prassan ji, Social activist & Dadhichi DehDan Samiti- Mrs. Sushma Sahu ji, and Shri Sunil Purve ji — whose presence and encouraging words made the occasion even more meaningful.
Highlights of the day:
- 🚶 Eye Donation Awareness Walk – taking the message of Netradaan Mahadaan to the community.
- 🎬 Release of our short film “VIHANA – Ek Nayi Subah” – a heartfelt initiative highlighting how eye donation can bring a new dawn into someone’s life.
- 🏆 Samman Ceremony – honouring our corneal transplant recipients and individuals associated with this meaningful initiative.
- ❤️ Patient Experiences – our corneal transplant recipients shared their journeys and how transplantation transformed their lives.
- ✍️ Eye Donation Pledge & Signature Campaign – encouraging people to pledge their eyes and become ambassadors for the cause.
- 📸 Eye Donation Awareness Photo Booth – spreading the message of eye donation through participation and shared moments.
The programme was not merely an event, but a collective pledge to spread awareness, dispel misconceptions and inspire more people to choose eye donation.
Because when we pledge our eyes, we leave behind more than a memory — we leave behind the gift of sight. 👁️❤️
