He subsequently completed his MS in Ophthalmology from Calcutta National Medical College, Kolkata.
Driven by a particular interest in retinal diseases, he pursued specialised fellowship training in Vitreo-Retina and Uvea at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot, a renowned tertiary eye-care institution of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust. During his fellowship and subsequent consultancy, he gained extensive experience in the management of complex retinal disorders and vitreoretinal surgical procedures.
His surgical experience includes retinal detachment surgery, pars plana vitrectomy, diabetic vitrectomy, management of vitreous haemorrhage, macular hole surgery, epiretinal membrane surgery, scleral-fixated intraocular lens procedures, management of dropped intraocular lenses, endophthalmitis vitrectomy and ocular trauma.
